Firstly (and most importantly), the news has FINALLY dropped that Titanfall will be exclusive to the Xbox consoles (and PC) for the duration of its lifetime. Sony fans have been clinging desperately to the possibility of it being a timed exclusive – and thus it may have seen the light of day on PS4 after 6 months or a year. However, those hopes have now been permanently dashed. Xbox fans rejoice! Your exclusive game IS yours and yours alone. You may laud it over the Sony fanboys as much as you wish! Right up until the inevitable cross-platform launch of Titanfall 2: Lost in New York (or whatever the sub-heading may be?)!
However, you should also be aware of the OTHER piece of news that trickled out this week (you’ll be hearing it a lot as the weak rebuff from envious Sony fans).
In the midst of all the furore of the Xbox One running COD:Ghosts at 720p, Respawn confirmed that their, much anticipated exclusive, will ALSO run at 60 frames per second at a resolution of 720p (upscaled to 1080p – much like Ghosts).
At a time when Sony exclusive, Killzone Shadowfall, has been confirmed to run at the higher 1080 resolution AND still at 60 fps, you can bet that Sony fans will be making as much of this as possible, while Xbox fans will be playing it down and emphasising the exclusivity of Titanfall!
