Reports have been emerging of a Lego The Hobbit video game to coincide with the final Hobbit film next year. According to the leaked images below, the game will be released across a number of platforms. There is no mention of a next-gen release (or should we say current gen?), even though LEGO Marvel Superheroes will be lining the shelves on next-gen on the 29th November.
The images were shared on bricksetforum, due to the nature of the captures – the images come from pamphlets contained inside LEGO construction sets. We can’t confirm their validity at this time, although the languages used suggest an American/Canadian origin (ERSB rating system, plus French and Spanish languages). The game appears to be in development by TT Games with Warner Bros. as the publisher, as expected from LEGO titles.
It could be that as the legal text is dated 2013, the construction sets are due to be released with the second The Hobbit film in December. Hopefully we’ll find out some more nearer the time.
