The NUMBER ONE reason not to get your PS4 on launch day has arrived! Forget the faulty consoles and lackluster launch titles, the only reason not to dive in and buy the PS4 on November the 29th is the fact that Sony have announced the ‘Ultimate Bundle’ – which includes a Playstation 4 AND a Playstation Vita, will be coming to stores ‘in December’.
The long rumoured and terribly exciting news arrived from camp Sony earlier this week. Though so far the bundle has only been announced for UK stores and has no price tag, if sales go well, you can bet this bundle will be rolled out worldwide!
Why buy 2 consoles at once? Well, that’s a good question, with an equally good answer. Both consoles are exceptionally powerful machines and have a long and hopefully bright future ahead, but the MAIN reason you might want to hold off your purchase until December is a little something called ‘remote play.’
‘Remote play’ essentially allows you to continue playing your PS4 games on the beautiful, large screened, handheld Vita. So you can fire up Assassin’s Creed 4 on the big TV, but when the kids want to watch Bodger and Badger (that’s still on right?) or the girlfriend wants to catch up with X Factor, no longer will you have to turn off the machine and sulk! Now, you can transfer the active game to your PS Vita and continue playing!
Of course, the Vita is much more than a PS4 monitor (not that that isn’t awesome), it is an impressive console in its own right with some amazing Christmas games being released (Tearaway, Fifa 14, Batman, etc). Furthermore, if you sign up to Playstation Plus (which you HAVE to do to play your PS4 games online), you’ll also get access to a host of free games across PS4 (Contrast, Resogun), PS3 (Uncharted 3, Metal Gear Rising: Revengence) and PS Vita (Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush) and more.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, no pricing information has yet been released by Sony. However, some high street stores have jumped on the idea and are offering versions of their own ‘Ultimate Bundle’.
GAME stores have already announced a £599(online)- £699 (in stores) mega deal that includes a PS4, a copy of Knack, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, a PS VITA, a 16 GB memory card, and two Vita games: Tearaway and LittleBigPlanet.
A fantastic deal and sure to be the first of many in the run up to Christmas! Once pricing information is released, you can be sure to find the information and the perfect deal for you at Twinstick Gaming.
