Vince Zampella, The co-founder of Respawn, who are the great minds behind the ever talked about Titanfall, has revealed to the public that the game will only support 12 players online in 6 on 6 combat.
Responding to a fan via Twitter, Vince Zampella states ” 6 on 6 is the max player count” and “it turned out to be the best balance”
This inevitably lead to a flurry of angry fans voicing their disbelief at the some-what small player count of 6 vs 6. With a game that has already confirmed to have no single player or co-op, is this a bold and risky move for Respawn?
Vince Zampella has already said to the fans that ” a 6v6 game can be a crazy experience” and “all I ask is for you to give it a try”. Titanfall has already received great response from people who have been lucky enough to try the game, so maybe 6v6 isnt a bad move, after all the dominant Call of Duty offers 6vs6 and that still remains at the “top spot” of FPS, beating rival heavyweights such as Battlefield and their 32 on 32 action.
So, the bottom line is; although the player count is tiny for a next gen title, if Zampella is right, all signs point to fun.
