Ground Zeroes Price Drop

METAL GEAR SOLID 5

Konami recently announced that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes would face a price drop in the US and is now set to have a similar price drop here in the UK too.

Prices fixed by Konami will set you back £29.99 for a PS4 and Xbox One edition of the game – a £10 reduction from its initial £39.99 RRP – meaning the price now falls in line with its digital launch, both of which are released on March the 18th.

In a statement made to Eurogamer, Konami cited that the new pricing was to allow for a broader audience to experience Metal Gear Solid using the new FOX engine, which will be used to power the game and its successor The Phantom Pain.

Rumour circulates that the price drop could be in response to concerns over the length of the game’s single player mode, which is stated to be two hours long.

As mentioned in our previous article here on Twinstick Gaming, the games length has been controversial. Although we still do not know for definite whether this actually does take only two hours to complete, the price drop will undoubtedly help people to decide to take a chance on the first part of the latest entry in to Hideo Kojima’s espionage series.
