Playstation Plus: Free Games For March 2014

March sees another shake up of the Playstation Plus: Instant Game Collection roster. March the 5th 2014 sees a host of free games come to the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. Let’s check out what’s entering the Instant Game Collection and what is sadly leaving.


Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition

First Up. The PS4 will be receiving Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition, which is a top down shooter in where players must fend off the endless waves of Zombies in a post-apocalyptic world. This comes from the makers of the critically acclaimed Resogun and is certainly a treat for the bloodthirsty no holds barred action shooter enthusiast. Dead Nation also has a co-op campaign.

Sadly this means, perhaps the scariest game on the planet, Outlast will be leaving the PS4 roster. But have no fear, future DLC for Outlast – known as ‘The Whistleblower‘ is on it’s way to PS4.


Tomb Raider

If you were in any doubt to the quality of games on offer from Playstation Plus, look no further than this – Tomb Raider, the rebooted series makes it’s way for free to the PS3. Brothers A Tale of Two Sons
Brothers A Tale of Two Sons

The critically acclaimed and inventive Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is also available this month. This charming arcade game is an epic fair tale adventure in where the two brothers must rely on each other to solve various puzzles and challenges to save your ill father by collecting the water from the tree of life. A must have this month.

Leaving PS3 this month is Metro Last Light and Guacamelee.



Coming to Sony’s handheld for free this month is Pixeljunk Monsters HD. Is a a quirky tower defence game where you play as Tikiman, who must defend his children from the hordes of evil and scary monsters. You can also play online in a co-op mode that expands across three islands.

Smart As is a puzzle game that is in a similar vain to Nintendo’s Brain Training. Utilise the touch screen to overcome the puzzles and immerse yourself in unique augmented reality challenges.
