Exclusively to Europe, Ubisoft have announced a retail deluxe edition of their upcoming poetic driven-turn based-RPG, Child of Light. Now who says it’s only the Japanese and Americans who get everything? Child of Light will have a standard digital version available on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One but if you are a PC, PS3 or PS4 owner you have the option to buy the fancy deluxe edition at various retailers.
Included in this deluxe edition is a whole host of goodies that I think many collectors will take to. First up, along with the downloadable version of the game, is a poster designed by non other than former Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano and a 24 page art book, which features detailed imagery of the development of Child of Light. Also there is a key ring based on Child of Light’s delightful support character, ‘Igniculus.’ The free DLC included in the pack is also plentiful. Players will get a new in-game character, a Golem, which you must free and make join your party during an additional quest. On top of all that is the Dark Aurora Customisation Pack, which gives you a Dark Skin for Aurora as well as a pack of runes to upgrade your skills.
The PS3 and PS4 versions of the game will be cross-buy. The digital version of the game is currently £11.99 but so far we have no confirmation on the Deluxe Edition’s pricing. Child of Light is due April 30th 2014.
