Gameboy Advance Games Are Coming To Wii U

As of the 3rd of April the Wii U’s Virtual Console will be receiving a whole host of downloadable Gameboy Advance games. The Wii U UK Facebook page announced that Advance Wars would be among the first to hit the Wii U online shop and since then more titles keep on flooding in. Throughout all of April expect to see classic titles such as Metroid: FusionMario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3.

Here are a list of the confirmed titles that are expected to be from £6.29 (all games and dates are correct at time of posting)

  • Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (April 3rd)
  • WarioWare Inc: Microgame Mania (April 10th)
  • Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (April 10th)
  • F-Zero: Maximum Velocity (April 17th)
  • Golden Sun (April 17th)
  • Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 (April 24th)

Sadly we are still waiting on confirmed DS titles that will be coming to the Wii U via the Virtual Console. Back in January, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced DS titles would be available some time this year and “will be playable on the Wii U pad.
