Lego Hobbit is due this week and question marks have been raised about why the story from the third film isn’t included in the game. The new Lego Hobbit game will cover the plot from the first two Hobbit movies ‘An Unexpected Journey‘ and ‘The Desolation of Smaug.’ Yet there has been no word on whether the third instalment ‘There and Back Again’ will feature as a Lego game.
Amidst the rumours Brick Fanatics, who attended a London Toy Fair, were able to confirm that the third movie will be in fact covered by Lego and TT Games. However, this time, instead of a two part sequel similar to the Lego Harry Potter series, Lego Hobbit: There and Back Again will be available to download. This is the first time Lego has made paid DLC (other than characters) for one of their titles. There and Back Again is expected to be available around December to coincide with the cinematic release of the new Hobbit movie.
Lego Hobbit is available from the 11th of April on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
