The third and final The Last of Us DLC bundle, entitled the Grounded Bundle has finally had a release date bestowed upon it! Fans of the game have been eagerly anticipating the final, multiplayer DLC and it would appear May 6th, 2014 is the date we can expect it (though more likely May 7th in the UK due to time zone difference).
As previously reported, the DLC bundle will contain vast amounts of multiplayer additions, including the new Reclaimed Territories map pack, new weapons and a whopping eight new skills. The bundle will also contain a new ‘Grounded Mode’ difficulty -that is said to be one of the hardest challenges this, or any other videogame, has ever offered.
The bundle is only available to Season Pass owners, but its component parts – including the new single player difficulty – are available to buy separately (though not cheaply). The Season Pass saves you around 80% compared to buying each part separately.
We at Twinstick Gaming highly recommend you buy the Season Pass – if you haven’t already – as it costs around £11.99 for every piece of DLC ever released for The Last of Us. This would include the 2013, Abandoned Territories map pack and the single player Left Behind DLC released earlier this year.
If, however, you are hanging on for the PS4 version (due in the Summer), remember that all the DLC – including the whole Grounded Bundle detailed above- will be included on The Last of Us Remastered, PS4 version!
