Number 1: Halo 5 coming in 2015

Halo5_Primary-TeaserArt_Horizontal_RGB_Final343 have announced a brand new Halo title, Halo: Guardians, for the Xbox One. A next-gen sequel to highly successful Halo franchise has been rumored for a while, this announcement is the confirmation fans have been hoping for.  Number 2: Watch_Dogs goes Gold

WatchDogs101_34Ubisoft have confirmed that upcoming stealth action game, Watch_Dogs has officially gone Gold, meaning it is ready to be shipped to customers at the end of the month. This news will be a huge sigh of relief to fans and developers alike. Watch_Dogs was originally scheduled to launch alongside the PS4, but was setback over 6 months as the developers wanted to get it just right.  Number 3: Playstation Now to have hundreds of games

playstation nowSony’s Todd Liss announced at an invite only conference that Sony’s upcoming Playstation Now service will launch with “Hundreds of titles” at launch. Though many details are still unknown about the streaming service, the fact that fans will be able to stream a huge selection of games to their Sony devices is gathering a lot of interest. Sony have attempted to retract Liss’ statement, offering no official word on the exact number of launch titles. Get the full scoop here…

 


 Number 4: Ubisoft supporting Last-Gen Creed

assassin's creed cometIn our second snippet of Ubi news, Ubisoft have confirmed they intend to support last generation hardware (PS3 and 360) with their Assassin’s Creed franchise. This adds further fuel to the fire of rumoured last-gen title, Assassin’s Creed: Comet. No official announcement has been made about the title or details of the PS3 and 360 title. We’ll be hoping to gather more details going into E3 next month. Full details can be found here…

 


 Number 5: Far Cry 4, coming THIS year

farcry 4Rounding out our Top 5 this week is another Ubisoft announcement. This time it’s first-person-shooter franchise, Far Cry 4 getting the focus. Ubi have ‘leaked’ the news that Far Cry 4 could be hitting stores as early as 20th November, 2014. That’s right, THIS year! Box art and a handful of details released suggest the setting this time will be the mountains of the Himalayas. The official word from Ubi is they wanted to create a Far Cry title that would both surprise and exceed fan expectations. Read the full story here….
