One of the (many) bits of mostly new information to emerge from the e3 press conferences this week came in the ultra-violent form of Let It Die, an upcoming game from Goichi Suda, the brains behind the awesomely named lollipop chainsaw. The trailer was shown as part of Sony’s presser and, although short, seemed to suggest that we’d be getting exactly what one might expect from Suda in Let It Die too (I mentioned Lollipop Chainsaw, right!?).
So that’s Baseball Bat with nails: Check. Morningstar: Check. Heads caving in like cheap Easter Eggs, gallons of blood, and gratuitous amounts of internal organs flying about everywhere; check, check aaannnd CHECK!!
Quite how all this carnage will work in terms of actual gameplay is largely unknown at this point, but we know it’s free-to-play, coming in 2015, and will likely be an intense, visceral and frantic arcade-y type hack-and-slash-‘em-up.
So, you know, what’s not to like?
