Hyrule Warriors Collectors Edition And DLC Announced.

hyrule warriors special edition
UK Limited Edition

The Hyrule Warriors updates continue with our round up of collectors edition and DLC announcements.

Firstly, Nintendo have made it quite clear that they intend to support this game digitally and also intend to keep fans of the franchise happy with character skin packs made available for Link, Zelda and Ganondorf.

In the US, those that pre-order with Gamestop will get a character skin pack for Link and Zelda from the Ocarina of Time, while Amazon customers will get a Twilight Princess character skin pack for both Link and Zelda.

No news so far on these packs being made available for European customers however.

However, all customers who purchase Hyrule Warriors will be able to download a free character skin pack for Ganondorf when they register their copy of the game on Club Nintendo within the first four weeks of the games launch.

The game is also getting the Limited Edition treatment! For those of you in Europe, you can Pre-order the game from the Nintendo Store or from GAME. The Limited Edition comes with a blue scarf emblazoned with the Hyrule crest, similar to that worn by Link in Hyrule Warriors. This edition also comes with a physical version of the game.

The lucky folks over in Japan will be able to pre-order two versions of this game, both of which will have Legend of Zelda fans (me included!) full of envy. The Premium Edition of the game includes the game, an art book, a Triforce table clock and a courage and wisdom DLC skin pack.

The Treasure Box Edition includes all of the contents of the Premium Edition, but also includes the Power DLC skin pack, the Hylian crest scarf and a Treasure chest with replica sound, so that when you open your chest you will be greeted by the immortal chime from the Legend of Zelda series.

There is no news as to any special editions being made available to the US so far and it seems unlikely at this stage that these two editions will be made available over here in the UK.

Although we will be keeping our fingers crossed that these editions will make their way over to us and our friends over the water, otherwise it seems that we Zelda fans may have to resort to heading to eBay to import them over!

We will of course keep you up to date with every bit of Hyrule Warriors news as and when we get it.

Hyrule Warriors will be available 19th September exclusive to Wii U.
