Perhaps not a shock to many people, but a season pass has been unveiled for Middle Earth: Shadow Of Mordor. The season pass is to give new missions, runes, skins and early access to challenge modes. See below for the reveal image.
The season pass will supposedly cost £19.99 here in the United Kingdom, with no word as of yet on other territory pricing. Purchasing the season pass early (before the games release) will allow the player access to some exclusive content in the form of missions.
The missions available straight away are listed above, but we’ve managed to gather some additional info. ‘Guardians Of The Flaming Eye‘ is supposedly a last stand inspired mission, where you face off against hundreds of Orcs outside the Black Gate itself. Beating this mission will reward Talion with the Rising Flame Rune. Alongside this mission is ‘Lord Of The Hunt‘ which tasks Talion with hunting down Mordor’s deadly beasts, and the ‘Trials Of War‘ which has a multiplayer element as players compete on a global leaderboard.
The most exciting mission detailed is ‘The Bright Lord‘ which allows you to play as the great Elven smith Celebrimbor, which readers may know is the wraith that inhabits Talion throughout his adventure. No details exist yet as to what the mission entails, but I have a strong suspicion (and the fact that the picture above is him in the flesh) that it will be set before he dies and becomes the wraith we know today.
The season pass also means that you will have access to future skins, runes and DLC ‘for free’ (not including the £19.99 for the pass). More details are surely to arise in the coming months, and we will be covering every word of it here at Twinstick Gaming.
