Any remnants of Saints Row’s grassroots being associated with the Grand Theft Auto series have long been washed away. Saints Row IV saw you take on the role of the President of the United States, in an attempt to fight off an alien invasion with all of your newly acquired over the top superpowers. Who said games had to be believable?
So how do you top such a bizarre storyline? By sending Johnny Gat (the franchises main hero) all the way to hell. The latest stand alone expansion to Saints Row IV, entitled Gat Out Of Hell, sees players take on the role of either Johnny Gat or Kinzie Kensington as the tear up the streets of New Hades, the hellish city in which the game is set.
The latest walkthrough trailer gives us an insight to what hell looks like, as well as some of the bizarre weapons and abilities available. We have everything from an Arm-chair-ageddon, an arm-chair that is armed to the teeth with missiles, to a plaque gun that spews out death. Fly around the city with devils wings or run people over with the aptly named RAMbulance, Saint’s Row IV: Gat Out Of Hell has it all and then some.
So if you like being incredibly overpowered and smashing up hell, Deep Silver and Volition have the perfect game for you. Check out the trailer below.
Saints Row IV: Gat Out Of Hell is available in North America from the 27th of January 2015 and three days later for the rest of the world. Available on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC
