Far Cry 4: What Are You Made Of? Interactive Trailer!

Yesterday, Ubisoft announced the launch of Far Cry 4’s ‘What are you made of? digital platform. This is an experiential website designed to test the player’s reactions, whilst in the face of true insanity. It offers a cinematic experience that will give each user a unique taster of the upcoming world of Far Cry 4. The immersive experience will come in several steps.

Players face 4 different rites of passage:

– A deadly face-to-face encounter with « An eye for an eye »
– An impenetrable mind maze with « Rabbit hole »
– A hypnotic trance with « Mind Blossom »
– A blindfolded sound chase with « Escape »

Each rite is scheduled to be released each week and is composed of interactive films. Each film gives the player the barest amount of time to make a snap decision and hopefully escape that particular extreme situation. Each choice leads the player down a different route, going down a long and insane path. Each decision will affect future decisions, and Ubisoft report that the platform can create up to 42 million different routes. It would take up to 100 days to explore all of these combinations.

At the end of each rite of passage, the user’s choices are analysed with a specific algorithm that determines their personality. This then grants players exclusive content for Far Cry 4 via Uplay.

Ubisoft stated:

“We are looking forward to seeing the reaction of fans. This interactive campaign really puts the player at the centre of the experience offering a new and more intense approach to the game and its universe”, said Guillaume Carmona, EMEA Marketing Director.

“This platform will allow each fan to live a totally different experience. That’s the beauty of a game like Far Cry 4 as players can actually create their own path, just like with this website. Each decision matters and conditions the outcome.”

For those interested in undertaking this experience, head on over to the Far Cry 4 website.
