Playstation Plus (PS+) Free Games: March 2015

playstation plus

Yay – it’s free game time again, and this month’s offerings don’t look too shabby at all. So, without further ado, here’s what’s on offer for March 2015…..

Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee — New ‘n’ Tasty! (PS4)

Abe’s latest adventure sees him attempting to rescue his people from a meat processing plant, and features more of the side-scrolling, puzzle solving shenanigans that have made this an extremely popular franchise. Can he save all 299 Mudokon slaves in time? There’s only one way to find out.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War (PS4)

Upon release, Valiant Hearts was both well received and highly praised for its original and thoughtful approach to the subject of war and violence, and Ubisoft Montpellier gained a heap of awards for their troubles. Visually stunning, emotional and certainly unique, Valiant Hearts is well worth a look.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (PS3)

Sherlock Holmes

It’s Sherlock Holmes – so, you know, there’s some solving and suchlike involved. Also, you can read Rich’s excellent review here.

Papo & Yo (PS3)

Centering on the relationship between a young Brazilian and a big Monster thing (actually called Monster, btw), Papo & Yo is a fantasy adventure game, set in an alternate, dreamlike world, with hundreds of secrets just waiting to be discovered. Praised for its mixture of stunning visuals and emotional themes, Papo & Yo is a surrealist masterpiece that will likely stay with you long after you’ve finished playing.

OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood (PS4, PS Vita)

If you combined the addictiveness of the Tony Hawk games with the visuals of California Games, you’d be somewhere close to OlliOlli2. With innovative and rewarding mechanics, and a whole load of “I’ll just try that one more time” thrown in, this could be your next jam for a lot of the foreseeable future. Don’t say you haven’t been warned!

CounterSpy (PS3, PS4, PS Vita)

A stylised 2.5D side-scrolling stealth game, CounterSpy has you being all espionage-y in a fast-paced, tactically open adventure. If silenced weapons, stealth kills, and stopping nuclear Armageddon are your thing, then you should definitely give this a try. That it looks genuinely stunning is a pretty big bonus too.

Like I said, not too shabby at all, right!?
